We won!
Our crew became the winner of the 23rd edition of the TREND REGATA 2025 BRAIN:IT CUP sailing race in the ALFA category. After four days full of adrenaline, challenges, and true teamwork at the Marina Hramina harbor, we proudly brought home a well-deserved 1st place. Once again, we have written 2025 into our history as another summer success on the waves of the Adriatic Sea.
Straight into battle mode after the welcome
The regatta officially kicked off with an opening ceremony at the Kukljica marina, where a total of 18 teams from various Slovak companies gathered. Our team was there as well, and during the opening ceremony, our Co-CEO Eduard took the stage to thank the organizers and officially open the event with inspiring words.
Before the official start of the first stage, our crew went through an intense warm-up and testing phase. Under the leadership of our experienced skipper Michal Andel from the NYS Sailing School, we practiced everything necessary—from tacking maneuvers and gennaker handling to advanced boat control and navigation techniques. From the second day onward, we fully committed to the first stage, where we performed strongly from the very beginning of all starts.
The second and third stages followed just as promisingly, with our crew consistently holding top positions. Each team member had a clearly defined role, which proved to be crucial to our eventual victory.
Blood, sweat, and injuries
This year’s regatta was also special thanks to the composition of our crew. Eight colleagues took part—some with previous sailing experience, as well as newcomers who quickly adapted and brought fresh energy to our sails.
Sailing regattas are not just about sunshine and the sea. They are about performance, endurance, and the willingness to fight. The regatta demanded 100% focus, physical stamina, and mental resilience. Along the way, we couldn’t avoid minor injuries, but nothing that would stop us. Quite the opposite—every small setback brought us even closer together as a team.
From competition to networking
Beyond the competitive aspect, the regatta also provided an excellent opportunity for networking. The Croatian setting created space for both business and informal discussions with professionals from other crews representing companies from all over Slovakia. After long days at sea, the evenings were filled with engaging conversations, knowledge sharing, and building new connections.
A victorious finish and a shared celebration
The regatta concluded with a ceremonial award presentation and a joint dinner. The atmosphere was exceptional, and although in a sense everyone was a winner, the official trophy for one of the categories ended up in our hands this time.
We are taking home not only a trophy, but also unforgettable memories, powerful experiences, and confirmation that when we pull together as one team, we can achieve great things.
