NFQES as an Innovation of the Žilina region for 2024

On May 13–14, 2025, the Festival of Innovations took place at the New Synagogue in Žilina. In addition to a rich program focused on startups, digital transformation, and the cities and municipalities of the future, the event also hosted the 17th edition of the Innovation of the Žilina Region competition, organized by the Žilina Self-Governing Region and INOVIA.

Each year, the competition recognizes innovative entrepreneurs and organizations from the Žilina Region that deliver tangible benefits and added value to the region. We entered one of the two competition categories with our Electronic Signing NFQES project and, after the first round, advanced to the finals among 14 competitors—where we won 1st place in the Innovative Company and Startup category.

NFQES as the future of the region

We presented the product itself, its use not only for the region but also for its citizens and local companies, as well as the advantages and long-term benefits it brings. We had only three minutes to present the entire project, which made it quite challenging to explain the full scope of the product and convince the jury that electronic signing has real potential in the Žilina Region.

So what did we manage to highlight in such a short time?

  • level of innovation,

  • economic benefits,

  • market opportunities,

  • socio-economic impact on the region.

What is it all about?

Electronic signing with NFQES enables one-click signing from anywhere, at any time, with support for multiple levels of electronic signatures defined by eIDAS.

Our solution is currently used in 14 European Union countries. During the presentation, we briefly introduced the key benefits to the jury, such as cost savings on paper and toner, elimination of physical archiving space, instant access to documents, simplified workflows, integration with existing systems and state platforms, and automation of document processing.

The jury also appreciated the socio-economic impact on the region itself – covering public authorities, companies, and citizens. Citizens can benefit from lower fees, electronic submissions without waiting, and increased digital literacy. For companies, the solution brings cost optimization, more efficient communication with public administration, and a competitive advantage.

We are proud that the long-term development of the NFQES product is delivering concrete results and offering a wide range of benefits across multiple sectors. We believe that by supporting digitalization, we contribute to a more modern, efficient, and open region – ready to face the challenges of the future.
