Our customer

Our client in the development of this application was the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic. It is the central authority of state administration responsible for:

  • management, coordination, and supervision of the use of financial resources from European Union funds,

  • informatization of society,

  • investments,

  • regional development.

Within the area of informatization of society, the ministry ensures centralized governance of informatization and the creation of policies for the Digital Single Market, decision-making on the use of financial resources for information technologies in public administration, the central architecture of the integrated public administration information system, and coordination of tasks related to the informatization of society.

Our challenge and goals

The goal of the project was to create an offline internal client module and a public central portal accessible via the internet, which together form a unified cybersecurity information system. An important part of the solution was the implementation of strict privacy settings to ensure that the client module is fully private and accessible only to authorized users.

The system also provides centralized registration of all collected data in one place, enabling efficient management and oversight of cybersecurity. The result is a platform that supports centralized cybersecurity management and its continuous implementation within the organization.

The main goal was to develop a comprehensive system that combines digitalization, security, and efficient management of cybersecurity infrastructure in one place.

Our solution

We developed a central VISKB portal for our client, which enables:

  • uploading data from a standalone client module,
  • entering and editing collected data via a web interface for organizations without a deployed standalone client module,
  • completing questionnaires,
  • providing documents intended for organizations.

The created portal consists of a relational database for storing encrypted data, a web interface for uploading and editing organizational data, and a web interface for completing questionnaires. All web interfaces are accessible via the internet using the HTTPS protocol.

Access to the module, which is two-tiered, is provided through a login interface and secured using an IAM module. The internal portal records all collected data of public authorities (PA) in one place. The application uses CROSS-MODULE encryption at the level of uploaded data. The portal is divided into several functional sections.

Benefits for the client

Centralized data management

All data is recorded in a single system, enabling easier overview, control, and management of data across individual organizations.

Information security

Users have access only to their organization’s data and permissions assigned according to their authorization level, ensuring data security and privacy.

Efficient communication

The system allows questionnaires to be sent and processed by multiple contact persons, speeding up information exchange and improving cooperation between organizations.
